Public Comment: Proposed Graduate Certificate in East Asian Medical Bodywork [12 Apr 2022]
At its February 2022 meeting, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM or Commission) reviewed draft standards for a graduate certificate program in East Asian medical bodywork. The Commission’s scope of accreditation allows for the accreditation of professional non-degree and graduate degree programs. Accordingly, admissions standards for this and other professional non-degree programs mirror those of master’s degree level programs accredited by the Commission.
The draft standards address programmatic standards that are unique or specific to the proposed graduate certificate program. Standards and criteria applicable to all accredited programs remain unchanged by this proposal, and apply to all accredited programs including this proposed program.
Before making any substantive changes to its Comprehensive Standards and Criteria, it is the Commission’s long-standing practice to provide notice to all relevant stakeholders and constituencies of proposed changes; give the interested parties adequate opportunity to comment on the proposed changes; and use the input received to help inform final decisions.
This call for public comment is open through Friday, 13 May 2022.
